Ok. Going to try and keep this short. It’s late, not normally an issue, but my eyes are seriously tired today. I even kind of napped earlier which is not like me.
For those not on IG, I posted Thursday nights dinner.

As Sarah (mildlygranola) rightly pointed out on my post. Risotto tastes great but looks awful in picture.
No matter what you do, you cannot make it look pretty and appetising. But it definitely tasted great. It’s such an easy meal to make if you don’t mind watching and stirring frequently.
And, it’s one of those recipes that you can do without a recipe. Just grab what you have in the fridge, soften onions well, add the rice and a glass of white wine, the rest of the ingredients (careful with veg so it doesn’t overcook), and just ladle in stock as it gets absorbed, stirring frequently. Et voilà!
I also received a beautiful piece of glass art this week. Yes, another one! I saw this on IG and just had to get one, what with Christmas just around the corner.

I love it. It’s very evocative and immersive. When I look at it, it’s the kind of woodland scene I would like to walk through, with the snow heavy on the ground. It reminds me also of the pictures I created in my head of when Lucy first walk through the Wardrobe into Narnia.
The artist is Nancy Goodens at Artworks Studio (@artworksstudiouk on IG) well worth a visit.
Lastly, hardly much movement on weaving. I added about 20 inches today, but I’m preoccupied with the house and work. I have paint swatches on walls, carpet to buy and so on.
Roll on the weekend.
Hope you have a great one despite everything going on in the world.

Your new glass is so pretty. One of the best things about risotto is getting to enjoy some of the wine while stirring.

Indeed. I don’t do half glasses so I had to open another bottle 😉

I find stirring risotto very therapeutic I’m a rosé wine drinker and my OH likes the red so I use vermouth – a bottle of which I keep especially for the purpose – and I just love the smell as it hits the hot pan.
Your art glass is lovely and just right for some up-market Christmas decorating

I use vermouth sometimes too. With tarragon.

I like the glass. Does it inspire you to make more stained glass works?

It does, although I doubt I could do this fine work.
