This weekend we are in Devon and the weather has been great so far. I only carried with us one project; my afghan/throw.
My new yarn arrived this week. I brought it from EBay and it arrived fairly promptly. Only thing is, the tow balls of light grey/brown are a chunky boucle, so no good for this project. Great! Just when I thought I would be net neutral in yarn stash / purchase, I get two added. 😦
Oh well. I’ll have to think of something else to make. Here is where I am at and with the new yarn.

It’s a good pattern that allows you to watch TV too. Good and perspective.
On to other items, I went on the hunt this week fir new patterns, I set a project total for this year and I am way off. So, I checked my stash and Ravelry and came up with these three quick wins.
Basic Baby Hat – nice and simple, nothing complicated. My yarn choice from stash is Debbie Bliss Rialto DK Prints in a green, blues and white variegation.
Naturally Southern Scarf – Also simple to make and quick. The yarn for this one is Louisa Harding Yarns Pittura which is a blue blend resembling the night sky from Monet.
Third Loop Headband – a bit slower as needing to change to use the third loop, but I like how it looks like knitting. For this I am using Sublime Luxurious Aran Tweed in a green shade.
So all being well I will have ticked off three more projects and three presents for Christmas. Yay!
Have you started that Christmas feeling yet? What are you making? I would love to see what you have planned.

I have nothing planned for Christmas yet. Since my stash is full of sock yarn, it may be socks. Also I have a 1 year old granddaughter who is the source of endless inspiration.

You are in an enviable position where you can make endless projects. I imagine though there is a degree of advance planning to ensure it will all fit. They grow so quickly.

Our Crafty Cuppa group has been asked to do a table at the village hall Christmas fair. I’m making things but it seems a bit alien as I don’t usually mention the C word until November! Still, it’s keeping me quiet. 😄

They are prepared. If I don’t think about it now, I won’t get things done in time.
