Off the loom, washed, dried and hemmed too. Although pictures of FO are coming tomorrow.
I was commenting earlier to someone, how I am still amazed at how woven fabric changes after it’s washed and dried; the fulling part.
When weaving, you aim for a certain setting in most cases, as in number picks per inch in the warp and weft. This results in a cloth with lots of holes. As in the featured image. But once it’s fulled, it morphs into something different.
Now, had I sampled, I might have found that the houndstooth didn’t stick. But hey, it’s still a lovely scarf.
Stay tuned for pics tomorrow.

When we had tablecloths like that I would always sit and work out how it had been woven!
