This past week has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. We had to let our eldest dog go 😦
She was 17 years, so had a fabulous life with us and vice versa. Unfortunately, dementia, almost blind and fully deaf, she just was not the same dog. And so, we had to make a decision, and I think we made the right one. Many around us could see the change in her, but we couldn’t or didn’t want to. We loved her dearly, and so Thursday the vet came and we sat outside in the warm sun, something she had always loved to do, and let her go over rainbow bridge.
So, as a result of trying to spend lots of time with her, I did very little knitting. And now we are away for a break, something we booked a while back, when we thought we would have the two dogs with us. A lovely little cottage in the Cotswolds. And what should I find on the bookshelf, but Stitch ‘n’ Bitch by Debbie Stoller and patterns from about 18 years ago. I’ll have a flick through inbetween adding to my jumper.
Anyway, have a great weekend.
Jamie
