Well, I managed to finish the table runner earlier this week. Wash one evening and dried. Hemmed after breakfast and before work the next.
I am pleasantly pleased with the result. It’s turned out lovely. I’m glad I didn’t do a short fringe finish. I noticed how the ends of waste yarn end up after a wash, and felt I didn’t want to ruin the look of this with a messy fringe. Hemming was the way to go for a neat and classy look.

I love this last close up of the weave from side on. The simple placement of the warp threads and the replication of this in the weft creates this amazing 3D effect. Yet it is completely flat.
Thinking about the next project to put on the loom this weekend.
Quick, yet classy, is what I need.

Love it. I agree about leaving off the fringe. This piece is very contemporary.

I agree – I like the ‘no fringe’ option too.

And I like how the weave really shows, without tension and washed.

That’s been lovely seeing the pattern emerge with each treatment.
