Another quick one today as I haven’t done much with the scarf from last weekend yet. Just been so busy.
But, I did try my hand at using a drop spindle.
It isn’t perfect. There are sections thicker than other sections. I also found out that to ply, I seem to need another spindle. Is this right? Anyone know?
I brought another anyway. It arrived today, so it will get an outing tomorrow.
A guy in to craft, mainly yarn-based crochet, weaving and some basic knitting. I love mixing colours, trying new patterns and stitches. I will also try different crafts such as stone carving, stained glass making, fused glass and leatherwork. I can think of nothing better than being able to say ‘I made this!’ Even if it’s not perfect.

I am sure you would be great at it. I saw someone that collected the odds and ends of yarn from weaving when a project is cut from the loom, then carded them back to fibre and resounding them. Seemed like a good idea.
as you know, I am just very attracted to spinning but have zero knowledge – with this premise, I’ve found this: https://www.interweave.com/wp-content/uploads/How_to_Ply_Yarn.pdf
