You can’t win them all. I knew I was cutting it fine. I probably have another four rows of decreases and then cinching closed the hole.

It’s now in hibernation whilst I ponder the next steps. I don’t want to unknit as I have tried it on and it’s going to be the perfect size.

I don’t have anymore of the yarn. I don’t think anyway. And struggling to remember the brand but I think it’s a Debbie Bliss because it’s one of those flat balls of yarn. So frustrating!

I’m quite pleased with the cables.

A guy in to craft, mainly yarn-based crochet, weaving and some basic knitting. I love mixing colours, trying new patterns and stitches. oh no! I wish I could come up with some clever idea, but I am afraid I do not. Perhaps you could add a contrast colour at the bottom too, by picking up the cast on, even just a couple of rows, then finish with the same colour?

I agree that the cables do look lovely!

  I’ll bear that in mind as an option. I’m focusing on my weaving this week, so it will likely wait till the weekend before I do anything. Will need peace and quiet 😊
