It has only taken 6 months, but finally my last lot of tea towels are finished. These were started around Christmas time, just after relatives all returned home. I actually cut them from the loom in maybe very early January. And then they have languished in an office, chucked on some boxes, with the intention to get the hemmed.
But out of sight, out of mind, it never happened. Until, I needed to tidy that office to make room for a bed to welcome friends for the weekend. So, I popped them round to my neighbour to hem them for me on her machine and now they are done.

These are not my finest towels ever made. They are not the same size as I misjudged the warp length. But as tea towels, they shall be fine.
The yarn used is Rico Design Creative Cotton in green; an unmercerised yarn, which should be great for drying those dishes. And Lana Grossa Cotone Print in colour-way 318. It just brings a plain green towel to life.
Pleased that these have finally been finished and can be put to service in the kitchen. I have plenty more of the Rico yarn, so the loom will have to be set up again soon.
Almost three days to the end of the week! And the weather is set to improve. Such a difference this year to last year’s heatwave. The plants and ducks are no doubt happy. 🙂
Catch you Friday.
