Not much to share this week, as I am just back from business trip to Amsterdam and excited to see my yarn has arrived for my next project. I am supporting Jo from Jo Creates in pattern testing her latest shawl.
The yarn I am using is a Louisa Harding yarn called Pittura in the shade Starry Night; a rich blend of electric blues through to dark purples. It’s a Superwash Fine Merino with Bamboo and is lovely and soft. The picture shows how the camera flash reflects off the bamboo viscose part of the yarn. Without the flash, it’s a little more muted, but the blue still comes through well.
As the name of the Yarn range means Picture in Italian, I am presuming that the colour of this one and its name Starry Night refers to the painting by Monet.
I am putting my other WIPs to one side for the moment to complete this shawl, as I go on holiday in a months time and promised I would have it finished and pattern tested before then.
Looking forward to seeing how this yarn crochets up and I will be sharing some pics as I go. So, stayed tuned.
