Cozy Chenille Complete!

Just finished weaving in the ends in the cozy chenille lapghan I’ve been making for the mum-in-law.  Ends all cut and covered with FrayCheck.  I’ll probably pop down and see her later and pass it over.  It’s long enough to comfortably cover your legs at about 4 foot long and just about 2.5 foot wide.

It’s at this time of the year and you are making blankets, that you suddenly miss them when completed.  For the past two evenings, I’ve sat stretched out on the sofa, crocheting away, with the lapghan keeping my legs nice and toasty. 🙂

With it being chenille, it’s does a very good job at that too.  I also just love running my hand over it.  Lovely and soft to the touch, with the moss stitch giving it a great texture.

I know you have seen the Never-ending Granny bedspread before, but here it is all finished and blocked.  I love the edging, which finishes off quite nicely.  All folded up for now until I have visitors.  I am thinking of calling it Minty Fresh Bedspread.

I added this gorgeous skein of yarn to my order last week.  The colours are a beautiful mix of blackish shades, blues and greens.  It’s made by Malabrigo and is all Merino in a worsted weight.

I am having a think about what I’ll make with it.  Something quick as it’s only 210 yards.  It needs a 4.5 – 5.5 mm needle/hook (US 7 – 9).  I am sure a pattern search on Ravelry will give me some inspiration.

Hope you have a great week.
